Elliott Brothers (London) Ltd. portable voltmeter. A precision analogue voltmeter designed for measuring electrical potential difference in laboratory, workshop, and electrical installation testing. The instrument features a wide moving-coil scale calibrated in volts and is housed in a protective wooden case with carrying handle for field or bench use. Such instruments were commonly used by electrical engineers, maintenance technicians, and testing departments when calibrating equipment or checking power systems. Early–mid 20th century, c.1930s–1950s.
