This is a vintage illuminated pub lantern sign advertising Bass beer, featuring the iconic red triangle logo (trademark registered 1876). Wall-mounted with a decorative metal bracket, it would have been used outside pubs and inns to attract customers and indicate availability of the brand. Examples like this were commonly in used 1920s-1960s.
