Switchboard charging panel — a complete electrical control unit used to charge batteries or regulate DC electrical output. Fancy. The brass plate on the front actually reads “Switchboard Charging” and shows a wiring diagram. Main components include large wire bound resistors, ammeter gauge, selector switches and terminals, instruction plate, fuse holders and socket connection. It is not just a component it is a whole charging unit and is quite rare to find intact.
Used to charge industrial battery banks, emergency lighting batteries, telecom power systems, rail/transport batteries, early electric vehicle or forklift batteries and generator backup systems. 1930s-1940s.Charging switchboard Qty 1
