Lucas birdcage inspection lamp as fitted in many prewar car toolkits. Brass and copper ones were synonymous with Rollls Royce and Bentley whilst painted ones were mainly military issue. Early 20th century. This one is stamped "Beally" and likely relates to dealership or ownership.
