A rare Gambrell Brothers mirror galvanometer (British), likely late 19th–early 20th century. A highly sensitive reflecting galvanometer used for detecting very small electrical currents, particularly in telegraphy and laboratory research. The light beam reflected from a small mirror amplified needle movement for precise readings. Mounted on an ebonised base with levelling screws. c.1890s–1910s.
